Since 2008, we’ve been creating furniture designed to foster collaboration and human connection in office, learning and hospitality environments.

Today, we are adding to this – we’re bringing nature into the mix.

Our focus on the human connection with nature comes from the undisputed knowledge that for health and wellbeing we need to spend more time outdoors. And if not outdoors, then within interiors designed with biophilic principles.

Our outdoor furniture range is designed for these benefits to be felt by all.

FOUNDERS

MARK was established in 2008 by designers Anna Hart and John Miller, prior to joining The Senator Group in 2025.

Having met in 2007, Anna and John were brought together by a shared aspiration to design and make furniture that would not only enhance the experience of the places where people work but that was also connected to – and inspired by – the community and environment where their product was made; values that closely align with those of The Senator Group.

Remaining core to our DNA – MARK stands for Made And Realised in Kernow (‘Cornwall’ in the Cornish language), where the company was founded. These origins and our connection to the landscape continue to shape and inspire our work today, always reminding us of the benefits of nature within the built environment.

THE SENATOR GROUP

A family-owned, independently run, global design-led business The Senator Group was established in 1976 by their chairman Colin Mustoe.

From the early days building and delivering the products to customers personally to today, The Senator Group has grown into one of the largest office furniture manufacturers in the world.

All the things that were important in the beginning; attention to detail, integrity, investment in people and passion for design, are still very much running through the veins of the business today with MARK proud to be part of its story.
